Generate Profit by Catering Cheese Trays During Holidays

Maximize holiday sales without expanding the dining room

The tumultuous economy is causing holiday parties to vanish and more consumers to host holiday get-togethers at home.

Technomic reports that more than a third (36 percent) of consumers surveyed are entertaining at home more frequently than a year ago, and 40 percent say they'll do so more often in the future.

This makes it more important than ever for restaurant operators to find ways to tap into this growing trend. One way to do so is through catering, one of the few bright spots on today's restaurant scene. An excellent place to start is with meat and cheese trays. They're the perfect solution for every holiday get-together – from Thanksgiving dinners to Super Bowl parties. Technomic reports that more than 30 percent of catering volume is generated from meat and cheese trays.
